PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide low-priced oil palm consolidated wood that is made of oil palm trunks and reduced in the amount of usage of formaldehyde-based bonding agents causing sick house syndrome and for which the components oil palm trees originally have are utilized.SOLUTION: The oil palm consolidated wood comprises: oil palm base materials W in a prescribed shape into which an oil palm trunk WD is sawed; and different oil palm base materials W in a prescribed shape into which an oil palm trunk WD is sawed and that are stacked on the oil palm base materials W. The oil palm consolidated wood is formed by compressing the oil palm base materials W and integrally bonding the oil palm base materials W to one another with resin components and saccharide components contained in the oil palm base materials W. The oil palm base materials are bonded easily as an adequate amount of resin components and saccharide components contained in the oil palm base materials W for bonding are secured from the oil palm base materials W without additional bonding agents. The oil palm consolidated wood can be formed to a thickness required according to application as the oil palm base materials W can be reduced to any thickness. |
