A support for a spare roll 16 of laminating film on the stand of a laminating machine 2 comprises a pair of generally horizontal, parallel bars 12 and one or more flexible bands 14 supported by the bars 12 and suspended across a gap between them. Each band 14 may comprise a single thickness of material attached to the two bars 12 at its respective ends 18; or it may comprise a continuous loop of material 22 that passes around the two bars 12 and extends in a double thickness across the gap. Several bands 14 may be spaced along the length of the bars 12. The material of the bands 14 may be elastic or substantially inelastic. The bands 14 can conform to the contours of the surface of the spare roll 16 to reduce damage to the laminating film. |
