PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery housing device capable of always obtaining a satisfactory electrical connection after a battery is attached therein regardless of a difference in a longitudinal dimension of the battery.SOLUTION: A battery housing device comprises a first member (10) and a second member (20), which include flange-shaped portions (11 and 21) with a diameter larger than that at an electrode side end of a dry battery (50), and extensions (12 and 22) with U-shaped cross sections extending in a longitudinal direction of the dry battery (50), respectively. The first and second members (10 and 20) are provided at their flange-shaped portions (11 and 21) with connection terminals (30 and 35) each of which is to be brought into contact with a pole (a cathode 51 or an anode 52) of the dry battery (50). The extension (12) with a U-shaped cross section of the first member (10) is surrounded by the extension (22) with a U-shaped cross section of the second member (20). |
