ELECTRIC DRIVE DEVICE OF CONSTRUCTION MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric drive device of a construction machine which can lengthen an operating time limited by an electric power storage device mounted on the construction machine more than before by a power generating effect of an electric generator.

SOLUTION: An electric drive device of a construction machine includes: an electric power storage device 7; a fixed-capacity hydraulic pump 30 driven by an electric generator 29; a plurality of directional control valves 33, 34 or the like respectively controlling flows of pressure oils supplied to a plurality of hydraulic actuators from the hydraulic pump 30; a bidirectional converter 28 variably controlling a revolving speed of the electric generator 29; and a LS control device 45 controlling the bidirectional converter 28 so that a LS differential pressure P ls reaches a target value P gr. When the LS differential pressure P ls exceeds the target value P gr and reduces the revolving speed of the electric generator 29, the bidirectional converter 28 performs a regeneration control converting an inertia force of a rotor of the electric generator 29 into an electric power so as to charge the electric power storage device 7.
