PURPOSE: A power consumption display method of a display device is provided to display real-time power consumption by including a timing controller and a control unit. CONSTITUTION: An image signal receiving part(114) receives an image signal from the outside. A user input unit(116) receives a brightness setting value from a user. A memory(112) stores a lookup table of momentary power consumption. A power supply unit(104) supplies power. A backlight unit(102) provides illumination. A timing controller(108) converts the received image signal into an output signal. A controller(110) creates a power control signal. The controller establishes a power consumption value corresponding to a brightness setting value. A display unit(106) displays the output signal and the power consumption value.
