<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of acquiring a correction amount in which color shift is properly corrected. <P>SOLUTION: In an image processing apparatus, an edge extraction part 50 extracts edges from image data. A correction amount acquisition part a61 acquires a shift amount of one color plain relative to another color plain in each edge, and calculates a first correction amount corresponding to an image height based on the image height in each edge and the shift amount in each edge; a correction amount acquisition part b62 calculates a second correction amount specific to a lens based on lens design data; a correction amount calculation part 63 calculates a difference between the first correction amount and the second correction amount, adjusts the difference so that the difference falls within a predetermined range, and calculates a third correction amount based on the adjusted difference and the second correction amount.
