PURPOSE: Resin foam is provided to suppress or prevent foam destruction when sepatated from a carrier tape and to ensure excellent flexibility. CONSTITUTION: A resin foam has a resin compositional homogeneity throughout the entirety from a surface to an inside thereof, a surface with a 60deg.C gloss value based on JIS Z 8741(1997) of 1.5 or more, and a 25% compressive load based on JIS K 6767(1999) of 2.00 N/cm^2 or less. The resin foam has a surface subjected to a heat-melting treatment. The resin foam has an interconnected cell structure or a semi-interconnected semi-closed cell structure.
