PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent stalling in a partial flow rate and also to improve efficiency in a design point flow rate. SOLUTION: This pump with a diffuser includes an impeller 12 and the diffuser 28, and the outlet of an impeller flow passage 24 and the inlet of a diffuser flow passage 26 are connected to each other through an elbowed connection flow passage 38. The actual flow passage curve 60 of the connection flow passage 38, along the flowing direction of the peripheral flow passage surface 46, is arranged along a flow passage curve positioned inward of an arcuate curve 50 with a shroud linear flow passage surface 22a and a diffuser linear flow passage surface 28a as a tangent.
