PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally follow up an AF frame, which is a range to be automatically focused, according to the purpose intended. SOLUTION: A frame automatic tracking system includes an automatic focusing means for performing focus adjustment of an optical system so as to focus on a subject within an AF frame set for an image picked up by a pick-up means; an AF frame automatic tracking means for providing the automatic focusing means, with information on the range of the AF frame and causing a subject to be followed up to automatic tracking of the AF frame; and a parameter imparting means for imparting information regarding the degree of each parameter to be used for the calculation of an image process, to the AF frame automatic tracking means. The parameter includes, at least a parameter affecting accuracy for making the subject to be followed up to automatically tracking or a parameter affecting the speed for making the subject follow up for automatic tracking.
