<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hammer shank for a piano, which is capable of suppressing a change in the dimension between two arms due to dryness and wetness to thereby ensure smooth and stable operation of a hammer. <P>SOLUTION: The hammer shank 24 for the piano is supported by a flange 23 and pivotally moves in accordance with key depression. The hammer shank 24 is provided with: a shank body 24a which is formed of wood; two bifurcated arms 24c and 24c which are formed on one end thereof, face each other, extend in parallel with each other on both sides of the flange 23, and are turnably supported by the flange 23; and phenol backers 28 and 28 which are attached on outer side surfaces of the respective two arms 24c and 24c so as to restrain the two arms 24c and 24c from being displaced in a direction in which they face each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
