A cosmetic composition for prevention of atopic dermatitis is provided to show sterilization and moisturizing effects, nutrition supply and itching sedation by using extracts from natural plants. A cosmetic composition for prevention of atopic dermatitis comprises 0.001-30wt% of a mixture of 1-30wt% of Torilis japonica Decandolle, 1-30wt% of Aquilaria Agallocha, 1-30wt% of Alpinia officinarum Hance, 1-30wt% of Arctium lappa L., and 1-30wt% of Bupleurum falcatum L. A method for preparing the cosmetic composition consists of the following steps of: mixing the Torilis japonica Decandolle, Aquilaria Agallocha, Alpinia officinarum Hance, Arctium lappa L., and the Bupleurum falcatum L. to obtain a mixture; extracting the mixture through hot water; filtering the extracted mixture; and concentrating the filtered mixture under reduced pressure.
