<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the reliability of operation of the opening/closing device for vehicles by improving the rotational detection accuracy of an output member. <P>SOLUTION: A drive unit 28 comprises an electromagnetic clutch 37. The electromagnetic clutch 37 comprises a drive disk 41 rotatable integrally with a worm wheel 35 and a driven disk 42 rotatable integrally with an output member 51. A clutch coil 43 is housed in a coil holder 44 and is disposed at a position reverse to a friction face in contact with the driven disk 42 of the drive disk 41 and between the drive disk 41 and the worm wheel 35. A magnet 83 is disposed between the output member 51 and a gear case 32a. The magnet 83 is rotated together with a drum 51. A sensor housing part is provided in a housing case 47 fixed to the gear case 32a. A change in a magnetic field of the magnet 83, i.e., the rotation of the drum 51, is detected by a magnetic sensor housed in the sensor housing part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
