<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device utilizing screw tightening and capable of avoiding a defect in which power cannot be shut off even if a torque limiter operates. <P>SOLUTION: This power transmission device 10 is provided with a power shutting-off member 3 joined with a rotary shaft by a screw and rotating integrally to shut off transmission of excessive torque between a rotatable rotary part 1 to which rotary driving force from a driving source is transmitted and the rotary shaft 4 of a driven device. A hub 2 for connecting them between the rotary part and the power shutting-off member is provided in such a way that it is nipped between the power shutting-off member and the rotary shaft 4, and a washer 6 is provided in such a way that it is nipped between the hub and the rotary shaft.
