FIELD: microwave lead-through phased antenna arrays characterized in electric beam scanning. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed antenna can be used in designing phased antenna arrays operating in circular field polarization, their aperture size in one plane being smaller by two or three times than that in other plane. Antenna assembly of first design alternate has coaxially mounted microwave feed, polarizer, and lead-through phased antenna array whose aperture size in E plane is much smaller than that in H plane. Microwave feed is made in the form of coupled pyramidal horns whose longitudinal axes are parallel and their common front lateral edge is perpendicular to E vector of field. Antenna assembly of second design alternate has aperture size in H plane much smaller than that in E plane, its microwave feed is made in the form of coupled pyramidal horns whose longitudinal axes are parallel, their common front lateral edge is parallel to E vector of field, and inner surfaces of horn walls parallel to E vector of field are coated with insulating layer. ^ EFFECT: reduced axial size of antenna assembly. ^ 3 cl, 7 dwg |
