TRIBLOCK COPOLYMER HAVING ACIDIC GROUP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a triblock copolymer useful for forming an ion-conductive film, especially a triblock copolymer capable of being formed into an ion-conductive film useful for a PEM fuel cell.

SOLUTION: The triblock copolymer has either a hydrophobic-hydrophilic-hydrophobic polymer arrangement or a hydrophilic-hydrophobic-hydrophilic polymer arrangement which induces a microphase separation morphology. A transformation example such as a hydrophilic polymer arrangement component containing either an acidic group or a salt of an acidic group is also disclosed. A method for molding the triblock copolymer into an ion-conductive film is provided.
