<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently removing F in waste water as sludge by suppressing a waste of Ca(OH)<SB>2</SB>and generating the CaCl<SB>2</SB>having high solubility without generating CaSO<SB>4</SB>. <P>SOLUTION: In a waste gas treating method for alkali-washing waste gas containing fluorine and carbon dioxide, a part of washing liquid is repeatedly used for alkali washing, the washing liquid which is a remainder is extracted and kept at≤pH 2 by using hydrogen chloride and CO<SB>2</SB>in the liquid is vaporized and removed.
