PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform efficient deicing operation by evenly heating an ice making chamber, in regard to an automatic ice making machine. SOLUTION: An evaporator 14 communicated with a refrigeration circuit 30 is arranged in the ice making chamber 12, and in the ice making operation, evaporated refrigerant is circulated to be supplied to the evaporator 14 to cool the ice making chamber 12, while ice making water is supplied to the ice making chamber 12 to generate ice blocks M. In the deicing operation, a hot gas valve HV interposed in a bypass circuit 40 is opened, and the hot gas is supplied to the evaporator 14 to remove the ice blocks M from the ice making chamber 12. Simultaneously with a start of the deicing operation, the hot gas valve HV is opened, while a timer means TM provided in a control means C starts to count the time, and when the timer means TM counts the predetermined time, the hot gas valve HV is closed, and supply of the hot gas to the evaporator 14 is temporality stopped. When the timer means TM counts the predetermined time after closing the hot gas valve HV, the hot gas valve HV is opened again to supply the hot gas to the evaporator 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
