摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive drive system for driving a display, such as a high quality liquid crystal display, having high-speed response and gradation by combining an overshoot drive method to force the liquid crystal response at a high speed and a quasi multi-gradation technology which increases the gradation steps by applying noise. SOLUTION: A quasi multi-gradation forming section 2 is provided to output, as the output data D2, the higher n bits of data D1, obtained by adding a noise pattern to the higher n bit data of input m-bit signals D0 with respect to an integer m which is equal to or larger than 9, and n which is larger than 8 and less than m. An overshoot drive section 3 is provided to overshoot drive the pixels.
