PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manual shift operation device for a vehicle capable of surely preventing an erroneous operation by improving operability of a shift lever by an H type shift pattern, etc., facilitating an operation and ensuring a judgment of a driver. SOLUTION: In this manual shift operation device for a vehicle, a selectable shift position on the operation of the shift lever can be changed based on a traveling control state (shift lever position, etc.) of the vehicle. When a transfer operation is performed for the shift lever 13 to an arbitrary shift position in the case of the shift positions are two or more at the selectable shift positions, guide parts (various kinds of shift patterns) for facilitating the transfer operation in a transfer path with high selection priority are provided by a reaction generating mechanism 41 realized by a control device 26.
