PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly flexible new remote photography system at comparatively low cost by using a communication terminal device having an E-mail transmitting/receiving function and a camera photographing function in combination with an existing E-mail system. SOLUTION: A photographing instruction mail is transmitted from a communication terminal device 100a to a communication terminal device 100b(1). The communication terminal device 100b takes a picture by a camera after confirming that a previously decided keyword is included in a received mail. The communication terminal device 100b forms a return mail addressed to the communication terminal device 100a, from which the photographing instruction mail is transmitted, while attaching image data obtained by photographing as an attached document, and then, transmits the return mail (2). If an address for carbon copy (cc) is attached to the photographing instruction mail, the return mail is also transmitted to the address for carbon copy (3, 4). COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
