PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch apparatus employing a conventional FET to attain switching of a high frequency signal nearly in a millimeter wave band. SOLUTION: A control voltage Vc is used to bias the gate of the common source FET 11. The FET 11 is switched into an active state wherein amplification is conducted or into an inactive state wherein no amplification is executed depending on the level of the control voltage Vc. Bringing the FET 11 to the active state permits a voltage signal changing in response to a high frequency signal given to the gate to be outputted from the drain. Thus, the switch apparatus can substantially pass the high frequency signal. On the other hand, bringing the FET 11 to the inactive state suppresses a voltage signal to be changed with respect to the received high frequency signal given.
