PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera constituted of a plurality of units capable of taking measures to prevent film in course of photographing from being wasted even when a memory such as an EEPROM provided in each of a plurality of units breaks down. SOLUTION: This camera constituted of a plurality of units is equipped with 1st and 2nd units having 1st and 2nd specified functions concerning the operation of the camera, 1st and 2nd memories which are provided in the 1st and the 2nd units and in which the 1st and the 2nd data for controlling the 1st and the 2nd units are stored, a film feeding means for performing the winding and the rewinding of the film, and a control means for permitting the film feeding means to perform only the rewinding operation of the film when at least either the 1st or the 2nd data stored in the 1st and the 2nd memories is abnormal.
