PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection method of a protein capable of detecting a trace amount of protein included inside highly sensitively, easily and quickly. SOLUTION: A lanthanoid complex showing a fluorescence characteristic and a surfactant for changing the three-dimensional structure of a protein by bonding with the protein are allowed to coexist in a sample solution, and the fluorescence intensity of the lanthanoid complex is measured.
