PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire detector whose time intervals between cleaning works is prolonged by automatically removing matters causing dirt, which is stuck to a translucent window arranged on the front surface of a detection sensor through the use of the wind pressure of an air stream occurring in a tunnel. SOLUTION: The fire detector 10A has a sensor housing part 12 provided at the upper part of a housing 11, inclined and curved surfaces 13a and 13b formed inclined in both of the longitudinal directions of the tunnel, translucent windows 14a and 14b arranged at the surfaces 13a and 13b respectively, detection sensors 15a and 15b housed inside of the windows 14a and 14b, and dirt removing devices 19a and 19b arranged around the windows 14a and 14b respectively and provided with filiform members CLa and CLb the one end sides of which are fixed to the surfaces 13a and 13b positioned in the external side of the windows 14a and 14b respectively.
