PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a laid person to be moved horizontally without shifting by supporting a mattress against a mattress base using a support body so that the mattress can be moved almost horizontally, and providing a movement limiter which directly limits the movement of the mattress within a specified range. SOLUTION: Rollers 51 of a bed 11 support a mattress 21 against mattress bases 31a, 31b, and 31c so that the mattress can be moved almost horizontally in either direction. A movement limiter directly limits the movement of the mattress 21 against the mattress bases 31a, 31b, and 31c within a specified range. A projection 26 and a stopper 29 constituting the movement limiter are attached to the under face 21a of the mattress 21 so that the projection 26 and the stopper 29 are projected toward the mattress bases 31a, 31b, and 31c. The stopper 29 is fitted to an opening between a vertical member and horizontal member constituting the mattress bases 31a, 31b, and 31c.
