Disclosed is a microwave oven. The disclosed microwave oven comprises a pair of terminal members for connecting between a power source and a high voltage transformer, respectively. The terminal members are isolated electrically with each other by means of remote-locating, respectively. Each terminal member is connected/isolated by the conducting member. The conducting member is installed in the door, and thereof both ends are revealed on the one side of the door. The terminal member is contacted with ends thereof to a pair of terminal members when the door is closed. Then, the supply of current supplied from electrical power to the high voltage transformer is controlled. Accordingly, the structure of the microwave oven is simplified. The AC/DC type microwave oven is capable of being prevented from encountering faulty switching operations according to large amounts of direct current when the DC input power source is used.
