Method for synchronously modulating an analog signal, modulator and demodulator for transmitting a signal according to this method and method of framewise transmission of digital and analog signals applying the said method. The two-amplitude level method of synchronously modulating an analog signal i consists in uniformly sampling the said analog signal i, at the frequency 1/T, and in creating a two-level signal n having a single level transition between two consecutive sampling dates, the duration 13, 14 between a sampling date and the date of the first transition appearing after this sampling date being dependent on the amplitude a3, a4 of the modulating analog signal at the said sampling date.
