<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a beginner to easily hit a ball upward with easier contact thereof by arranging an iron head to comprise the body of a head having a hollow part and a face insert fitted into a recess part of the head body. SOLUTION: In this iron head 1, a face insert 4 is mounted on a face surface 3 of the body 2 of the head and a hollow part 5 is arranged inside the head body 2. In this case, a recess part 6 is formed for mounting the face insert in the face surface 3 of the head body 2. The recess part 6 has a bottom surface part 6a formed adjacent to the hollow part 5 and a through part 6c formed in the bottom surface part 6a while a side part 6b of the recess part 6 is formed vertical. Moreover, an opening part is formed at the central part of the rear part of the head body 2 to let the hollow part 5 communicate with outside.</p> |
