PURPOSE:To perform the color printing of a document other than a character, by providing a memory means for storing the printing data of a figure having a character mixed therein, a means for indicating the mounting of a ribbon cassette when there is figure printing and a printing means for performing figure printing independently of a character row by said ribbon cassette. CONSTITUTION:The RAM 11 in a CPU 10 consists of a document region, a line image region an external character registering region, an expression registering region, a region storing each control data of a register or the like at a cursor position, a color figure table region 31 and a color line table region 32. An ROM 12 has a program region 13, a character pattern region 14 and a dictionary region 15. Then, the figure data and rule data of an objective page are respectively read to be stored in the RAM 11. When the ribbon mounted presently is not a 'figure ribbon', the replacement of said ribbon to the 'figure ribbon' is urged. A printer 23 prints a formed document or the character data read in a main body from a floppy disk device 21 under the control of the CPU 10 through (PRT-IF) 24. |
