COMBUSTION METHOD BY CATALYST OF ORGANIC COMPOUND AND COMBUSTION APPARATUS BY CATALYST OF ORGANIC COMPOUND

PURPOSE: To ensure stabilized combustion of high concentration organic compounds by circulating air containing combustible compounds between two layers of catalyst and two layers of a ceramic packing acting as a heat regenerator and reversing the direction of circulating gas periodically. CONSTITUTION: Air is fed, together with a combustible gas or steam, through a regulation valve 12 to a duct 1 thence pressure fed by a fan 2 to a reversion valve 3 which changes direction alternately to introduce a mixture of organic compounds and the air to a metal cylinder 21. The mixture is introduced through a ceramic packing layer 4 and a catalyst bed 5 causing reaction to a section 18 where the gas flow is divided. A part of the mixture gas is returned through the bed 6, a ceramic packing layer 7, the valve 3 and a regulation valve 13 back to the fan 2 and combined with fresh air flow. Another part of the mixture gas flows from the section 18 through a catalytic bed 8, a regulation valve 19 and a duct 9 to the outside of the combustor.
