PURPOSE:To make a fail-safe decision by using an amplifier which is variable in amplification degree, comparing the level difference between data on the equipment to be measured which are measured with different amplification degrees with the difference in amplification degree, and deciding the abnormality of a test equipment and deciding no conforming articles when those differences are not equal to each other. CONSTITUTION:When this noise test equipment is tested, a relay 8 is turned on and a relay 9is turned off; and the output noise of an audio amplifier 1 to be tested is measured by a buffer amplifier 5, a measuring circuit 3, and a decision display circuit 11 to decide a conforming or nonconforming article. The measured value is stored in a decision display circuit 11. Then, the relay 9 is turned on so that the amplification degree of the buffer amplifier 5 is +6dB as compared with during the starting measuring operation, the relay 9 is opened, and the output noise of the audio amplifier 1 to be tested is measured again to judges that there is some abnormality when the difference from the measured value which is stored is not 6dB, thereby deciding no conforming article.
