PURPOSE:To obtain a high magnetic heat quantity effect over a wide temperature range in a laminated magnetic material by integrally laminating two or more types of magnetic material layers having different magnetic transition points, crystal phase transition points or transition point or spin rearraying temperature caused by Jahn-Teller effect and setting the charging ratio to 70% or higher. CONSTITUTION:Two or more types of magnetic alloys or solid solutions are prepared, for example, in an arc melting furnace. These magnetic materials are composed of rare earth elements-(group III metal), rare earth elements-(group IV metal), rare earth elements-(group Ia metal), rare earth elements-(group IIa metal), rare earth elements-(4d or 5d transition metal). Then, these magnetic materials are pulverized, for example, in a ball mill so that the particle diameter of the fine particles is 1-100mum. Then, the particle powder is sintered at (TM-500) (TM-5) deg.C of melting point TM of the powder. The thickness of the fine powder layer after molding is preferably 10mum or larger, and the surfaces of the particles are preferably covered with lubrication coatings or dispersed in an organic solvent to be laminated.
