PURPOSE:To set largely an amplifier gain of a repeater independently of coupling loss between transmission/reception antennas of the repeater by applying code conversion by the repeater to a signal for the demodulated line control. CONSTITUTION:The frequency code of a talking channel coded by a incoming control channel is code-converted by a code converter by the conversion at the repeater 4, then a mobile station 10 recognizes a talking channel frequency subject to frequency converson at the repeater 4 sent from a radio base station l. In case of incoming to the mobile station 10, a reply signal comes from the mobile station 10 through an incoming control channel to the incoming signal from the radio base station 1, and when the signal is sent from a dead area 108 and received by the repeater 4, then a control section 15 of the repeater 4 stores the number of the mobile station 10, when a channel designation signal is sent to the said mobile station 10 from the radio base station l via the outgoing incoming control channel, an idle talking channel is assigned to the repeater. Further, the transmission from the mobile station 10 is applied similarly.
