PURPOSE:To provide a die to be manufactured only with machine processing and to raise the production efficiency of a honeycomb mold, by combining two reference dies composed of a base part and pillar-shaped members, and by providing an intermediate stagnation part at the connection part, and by combining with a third die surrounding a first and second pillar-shaped members. CONSTITUTION:A first die is composed of first base part 5 and nine first pillar-shaped members 6, and a second die is composed of fine second feeding passages 10 and four second pillar- shaped members 11 and a second base part 9. A third die 4 is a plate-like member which surrounds a group of pillar-shaped members combined the second pillar-shaped members 11 with the first pillar-shaped members protruding from the upper surface of the second base part and has a central cavity when the first die and second die are set up. The third die 4 has an opening 12 and an extruded material is lead onto the first feeding passage 7 from the lower surface side of the first base part, then stagnates at the concave part 8 of the second die, and passes through between the first pillar-shaped members 6 and the second feeding passage 10. Simultaneously it passes through the passage 14 between the confronting concave parts of the first pillar-shaped members 6 and the second pillar-shaped members 11 and the passage having width S, and flows while forming a honeycomb and is delivered from the end surface of the third die. The die processing is mainly drill processing, and is completed by applying cutting and grinding operations by a device such as a milling machine. |
