PURPOSE:To insure a stereo mode and a SAP mode against being displayed on an image receiver by installing a filter circuit with the prescribed characteristic on the sound signal system of a VTR and attenuating or removing a pilot signal and a sub-channel one. CONSTITUTION:If a tuner circuit 2 selects sound multiplex broadcasting the pilot and subchannel signals included in a multiplexing signal Sf can be attenuated or removed due to the high frequency characteristic of the filter 7 even if said signal Sf is taken out of the tuner circuit 2. And only the signal Sm of a main channel is supplied to a television receiver 10. Accordingly, stereo demodulation with more distortion, separation and a poor S/N and the similar poor reception of SAP broadcasting are not done in the receiver 10. Moreover no stereo mode and SAP mode are displayed on the receiver 10. Since said display equals recording and reproducing of the VTR, embarrassment and unpleasant feelings will not be given.
