MEASURING APPARATUS FOR REFINING DEGREE OF GRAIN

PURPOSE:To accurately a refining degree of grain continuously one after another by providing a throw-in shutter and a samle falling opening of a feeder above a sample flowing passage and providing a discharge shutter below said passage and measuring transmitted light and reflected light of the grain in a detection part. CONSTITUTION:Necessary quantity of a sample is taken in a throw-in chamber 28 and a quartz glass face 18 of a detection part chamber 2 is polished with a cleaner 19 pushed in by a motor 23 and a guide pole 20 is inserted as far as a standard white board 22 comes to the front face of a transmitted light photodetecting element 8. After setting the standard whiteness degree thereby, the cleaner 19 is drawn out and a vibrator 32 is brought to operate by opening a throw-in shutter 26. The sample is thrown down from the tank 28 and is accumulated in the chamber 2 from a falling opening 30 through a vibration feeder 29 and a sorting wire net 33. Reflectance and transmittance of refined rice are measured herein by a reflected light photodetecting element 8' and the transmitted light photo detecting element 8 and a refining degree is found by calculation. A discharge shutter 27 is opened when the measurement is finished, and the sample is discharged.
