The central heating system for a house extracts heat by using rods buried underground to extract heat from the earth, and combines this with a solar heating system. The heat obtained is used to provide underfloor heating and also wall heating, for interior walls. The water circulating coils are also embedded in outside walls which carry insulating layers. The underground extraction system uses spiked tubes (61) each containing a copper tube bent into a hairpin shape, the spiked tubes being inserted in a pattern over an area. The copper tube bends are interconnected to form a pattern radiating outwards from a collector tube (68) for the water circulating circuit. The area is covered by a heat insulating layer (76) which terminates in a vertical extension (77) enclosing it, and covered with a waterproof layer (78). The spiked tubes are corrosion resistant, and filled with a concrete or cement mass, and are perforated.
|
