PURPOSE:To reduce power loss in engine and improve the life of pump with an arrangement that the pump discharge is varied according to the running speed and substantially reduced to zero at the time of a high running speed. CONSTITUTION:An internal gear 2 and an external gear 3 meshing therewith are rotatably accommodated in a pump body 1. The gear 3 is mounted on a shaft 4, and a crescent shaped partition member 5 secured to the body 1 extends through a space facing the meshing section of the gears 2 and 3 and is in close contact with the teeth of the gears. With this pump construction, fluid is withdrawn through a passage 6 and discharged through a passage 7 with the rotation of the gears 2 and 3 relative to the body 1. The body 1 is rotatably accommodated in base body 8 which restricts the rotation. The gears 2 and 3 are rotatable about the shaft 4 while the body 1 is rotatable about a shaft 1B, and the shafts 4 and 1B project from the base body 8 such that they face each other. The shaft 4 is coupled to the engine side while the shaft 1B is coupled to the wheel side, and the discharge is thus varied according to the running speed. |
