PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing silver nanoparticles whose safety is improved by improving an amine complex decomposition method to control a rate of gas generation during the reaction.SOLUTION: The method for producing silver nanoparticles comprises: a first step of generating a complex compound derived from a silver compound which can generate metallic silver by decomposition by heating, an alkylamine, and a compound containing in a molecule at least one of a multiple bond between a carbon atom and a heteroatom or a multiple bond between heteroatoms; a second step of adding a solvent which has a boiling point of 100 degrees Celsius or more, can dissolve a portion of the complex compound, and can decrease viscosity by addition of the solvent; and a third step of generating silver nanoparticles covered with a protective film containing the alkylamine by thermolysis of the complex compound by heating the reaction system. Because a portion or all of the complex compound, which is a source of gas generation, is dissolved in the solvent and the system approaches a homogeneous state, the pace of gas generation in the third step is controlled to improve safety of the process in mass production.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
