The cable feedthrough or grommet is made of heat-shrink material and used for feeding a cable through equipment housings. The grommet has a cylindrical neck (1) that fits over the cable and a funnel-shaped flange (3) with a stub end (4) of the same size as the neck. Heat shrinking reduces the neck to grip the cable and the flange and stub end become a funnel-shaped piece with a peripheral groove formed by the stub end curling back on itself. The edges of the round hole in the housing engage in this groove.
