The elements are designed for capturing the larvae of mussels at the time or reproduction and comprise batteries of units secured in spaced relationship with wires which are used to anchor them and for recovery of the larvae. Semi-rigid extruded plastic plates (1) have openings (2) through which a wire or cable can pass. A tongue (3) is cut around and folded up through 90 degrees to act as a spacer for the adjacent plate. The plate comprises sheets (6, 7) interconnected by walls (8). The cable passes through a channel in the tongue. |
