<p>A sight glass assembly, suitable for large vessels contg. fluid under pressure, comprises a housing arranged for mounting over an opening in the vessel, which has a frusto-conical camming bore for compressing circumferentially spaced collet fingers of a lens holder member so as to grip the periphery of the lens. Elimination of conventional packing member reduces the risk of blowouts. Radial compression effects a safe fluid tight seal.</p> |
