PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filler of graphite to be finely and homogeneously dispersed in a polyamide resin, and to provide a particle dispersion-reinforced polyamide resin having excellent mechanical characteristics. SOLUTION: The method for producing the filler for the polyamide resin includes a raw material-mixing step for forming a mixed liquid at least containing graphite particles, a substrate (preferablyε-caprolactam) exhibiting compatibility with the polyamide, a grinding medium and a solvent, a wet stirring step for grinding the graphite particles by stirring the mixed liquid (preferably carrying out the treatment with a ball mill) to chemically modify the cleavage planes of the graphite particles with the substrate, a medium-recovering step for recovering the grinding medium, and a desolvation step for removing the solvent.
