PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a lens centering method of a lens centration machine capable of centering a lens irrespective of its shape. SOLUTION: In the lens centering method of the lens centration machine 10, a centration whetstone 13 is moved horizontally (arrow C) and brought into contact with an outer peripheral surface of a lens 1 from a side where eccentricity of the lens 1 is the maximum toward the lens 1 sucked and held by a lower lens holder 12. Thereafter, the whetstone 13 is moved along a curve (arrow D) corresponding to a curved surface of a concave lens surface 3 of the lens 1 toward a holder center axis line 12A of the lens holder 12. Thus, the lens 1 is slid along the concave lens surface 3 on a lens holding surface 12a of the holder 12 and centered with a lens optical axis aligning with the holder center axis line 12A.
