The present invention relates to an electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery comprising a non-aqueous solvent and a lithium salt. The electrolyte comprises with respect to the total weight of the non-aqueous solvent: 10-50 wt% of a ring-type carbonate-based compound; and 50-90 wt% of a linear-type ester-based compound. The content of ethyl propionate of the linear-type ester-based compound is 20-60 wt% with respect to the total weight of the non-aqueous solvent. Provided are: the electrolyte for a lithium secondary battery; and the lithium secondary battery comprising the same, which exhibits excellent low temperature properties.
