PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following structural problems of a rocking type bicycle: when a handle is turned to some extent, the handle can be turned only within a predetermined range due to collision between a gearbox and a body frame, and is incapable of making a small sharp turn with a handle fully turned.SOLUTION: In a rocking type bicycle, a pair of large and small gears in a gear case are changed in rotation direction through a ratchet mechanism by rocking a handle back and forth, and wheels are mounted on an axle fixed to a small gear, to enable forward traveling. The gear case is drooping and is rotatably supported by a body frame. An arm with a ratchet integrated with a handle support body for supporting the handle is attached to a nut fixed to a gear shaft of a large gear in the gear case, so as to rotate the gear shaft by means of the ratchet. |
