<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve suppression of power consumption and improvement of security at the same time in an information processing system having an input device and a display device physically separated. <P>SOLUTION: A display device 10 comprises: an approach detection unit 13 as a first detection unit for detecting approach of a human body; a display device wireless communication unit 12 as a first wireless communication unit; and a display device control unit 14 as a first control unit for controlling an operating state of the display device 10. The input device 20 comprises: a second detection unit for detecting identification information of the display device 10; an input device wireless communication unit 22 as a second wireless communication unit for performing wireless communication with the display device wireless communication unit 12; and an input device control unit 24 as a second control unit for controlling an operating state of the input device 20 based on detection results by the first and second detection units.
