PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device urging a driver to perform a desirable driving operation or notifying the driver of the trend of the driving operations. SOLUTION: In the driving support device 1, a warning function 13 displays a warning message when a vehicle traveling state and a driving operation reach a state where the driver should be warned. Further, the driving support device 1 includes a diagnostic evaluation function 14 for calculating evaluation results about diagnostic items. A display device 20 and an output device 30 such as a speaker notifies the driver of the evaluation results about the diagnostic items as symbols or numeric numbers. Further, an advice function 15 selects an advice message in accordance with the evaluation results, and notifies the driver of the advice message from the display device 20. According to this configuration, the driver can recognize that his/her own driving operation is not desirable by the diagnostic evaluation results or the advice message prior to reaching a warning.
