PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the output device of an information processor and the control method of an output port composed to detect connection devices to be connected to a plurality of ports, and to select a preset priority output port as an output destination port when there exists a plurality of ports to which the connection devices are connected, and to output a signal from any port other than the priority output port without removing the connection device from the priority output port when both priority output port and any port other than the priority output port have the connection devices connected thereto. SOLUTION: This output device of the information processor is provided with: an output destination determination part 20 for detecting a connection device to be connected to an output port, and for, when there exists the plurality of ports to which the connection devices are connected, selecting a priority output port (port A) as an output destination port; and a connecting state control circuit 14 for, when a port B which is not the priority output port has the connection device connected thereto, setting the port A in a state where the port A has no connection device connected thereto even when the port A has the connection device connected thereto according to an external control signal.
