The vehicle has an electrically driven actuator (7) provided at a drive module (9). A generator (3) is provided at the drive module independent of an electrical power supply (15). The generator is driven while driving the vehicle. The actuator obtains an electrical power output for an operation from the generator and/or an electrical energy storage (4) connected with the generator. The generator is driven by an axle shaft (14) or an axle transmission (8) at a drive section. The generator is integrated with the axle transmission. An independent claim is also included for a method for loading an electrical energy storage by a generator during delay of a vehicle.
